Filtering through all the crap that goes on is school is not easy.
Actually, most of the time, I only get crap in School,
but that's an entirely different matter all together.
But, imagine my surprise when the resident babe of my class
came up to ask me:
"Dick, do you have a girl friend?"
Hormones... Hormones...
Keep... In... Check...
With my hopes up,
I replied with a simple "No".
Before quickly asking
"Why do you want to know?"
Well, one has to keep ones hope up doesn't he?
Even if she IS the resident babe, attached and no way would
be attracted to a loser like me.
Being optimistic never hurts does it?
Back came the reply
"No, particular reason."
Well, one can be optimistic yea?
No matter how guardedly optimistic,
optimism eh? Doesn't hurt does it?
Hmm, imagine, scoring with the resident babe of the class.
Wouldn't that be something to brag about?
And that non-committal response..
Hmm...
