This, is what my hands looked like immediately after my first attempt at completing the SOC with rifle and a load bearing vest on. Calloused and bruised, at the same time. With the bruises appearing under the callouses.
This is how they look like today. After much moisturizer and a bit of rest, the callouses have been greatly reduced to reveal the true a bloody under-epidermis and I can finally hold things in my hand without any pain.
Ugh. I can't wait for Basic Military Training to be over. Just two more weeks!
