Grad Night.

"Dick, Joel! What are you guys going to be wearing for gradnight? Oh ya, Yee Hwee also."

"Eh, shirt and pants lar. Why d'you ask?"

"Eee. Cannot lah! Must wear formal you know? This year grad night theme is formal!"

"Why do you even care what I wear?"

"Because you'all handsome mah."

Meh. I'm never reaching the prettyboy status of Joel and Yee Hwee.
Because they are simply put, bona fide prettyboys. Both of them clear skin,
tan and with hair that's unruffled by wind. Boy, oh boy, prettiness such as that,
how can any mere mortal compete?

More importantly though, what am I going to wear for grad night?
I was going to opt for the simply option of a pants and shirt combo,
however after much speculating during Math today,(sparked off by above comment)
I've realised that even our dear monitor is taking the high road and
considering renting a suit to wear. This, from someone who was going
there dressed as an anime character.

So after much discussion during math,
(Approx 20minutes of shouting across the humanities room)
the most popular choices of attire for graduation night are as follows:
  • School Uniform
  • Underwear
  • Nondescript attire with underwear on the outside (a la Superman)
  • Nothing.
  • Jacket, shirt, tie and pants.

I was considering attending the graduation night in a simple shirt
and pants, however after much persuading and hearing what both
my fellow male and female classmates have to say; I'm torn
between "Nondescript attire with underwear on the outside (a la Superman)"
and "Jacket, shirt, tie and pants."

Well, the former would be a blast. Simply being the cheaper
and more viable option, as I wouldn't have to go out and rent/buy
the outfit in question. It's also much more appealing as it would
be a blast, imagine, the last time this bunch of Sec 4s are gathered
together and arriving looking like a total ass.

I'd go down in history.

However, cleaning up and arriving al dressed up and smart
could work just as well for me. I mean, what wouldn't impress
more than having an ordinary, run of the mill, cannot be bothered
punk, turning up all dressed up and clean?

Meh. I'd have to rent though, simply because I don't own
a blazer/jacket.

You know, there's just something about cute chicks playing
up to your ego that really gets you to do the most stupid and impractical
things.

Let's just be sensible and go with the Superman-Underwear choice then.

Your school's going to hold a prom night sort of thing? Fanciful stuff?

I think my school's the only one where we have to wear our school uniform to our graduation night, not to forget, name tags.

Go with fanciful! I think guys look smarter when they dress formal.

Don't be mad... Wearing a blazer or jacket for Grad night? Hahaha... It just make you look so dumb, as if it's the first time attending a formal dinner.

Seriously, no offense in this one but thinking of the blazers, how mad can it be man? Hahaha... Not mentioning those people who dressed up like agents back then. Think it's childish.

No1. To have blazers for grad night is really dumb as most stylish guys don't need a blazer to look smart.

No2. Wearing a tie is already stupid enough. You will get bored of it if you happen to work in sales line.

No3. It's a waste of money to rent a blazer. Might as well just wear a collar shirt and have a sweater over it. It looks good enough =)

Overall, on grad night, you will only see fools arriving in blazers while most of other guys will just have typical ties around their collar AND the stylish people? Just tees and pants. Hahahaha... REALLY! I've been to two grad nights already.

You don't have to dress up to impress.

Even the richest man on Earth don't even wear a blazer or suit to media conference to look smart.
lol...

The girls will most likely be looking out at the prettiest doll on the day itself. Don't believe me? Go check it out. I've been to 2 grad nights already.

Meh. the guys where lamenting the fact that the previous two grad nights
had all these punks dressed in T-shirt though. The theme's supposed to be FORMAL.
And dude, what's with double posts?

Pat:
Bleah. If finances and common sense allows, most probably.
As for pictures.. Heh. I'm gonna need someone to lend me a Digi cam.
Mine's spoilt. Bleah.

Wongcheok:
Eh? I'm tempted to agree.
Yet, chicks and a swanky(or so I've been told) have so much more hold over me.
Besides, I'm a good boy, eh? I don't have ear piercings.

beecca:
Woot! Heh...
Hmm. *Rubs chin*

it's common fallacy that you need to look as spiffy as the fella next to you such that you won't lose out... however, let me dispel this: the truly outstanding ones will always be those who stick out like sore thumbs.

take it to an extreme and go the OTHER way. or do it punk la - you'd have my blessings. hahaha.
