A Little Sweet Talk Goes A Long Way.
After all, there's no real repercussions, except for the crushing of an ego.

My ego's too damned big to be crushed, damnit.
A little sweet talk goes a long way in helping you achieve
your goals and if you need proof of that, you can take me as an example.

Finally, today I've gotten the English Teacher
to admit how much she likes me as a student.
*Beams*

In-freaking-credible.
Seeing as this teacher was one whom I've had a hand in
breaking down last year, having her tell me this barely a year later
is pretty incredible don't you think?

Heh..
I still remember breaking her down to the point where she
got so upset that she cried, I still remember fuming in self righteous
indignant anger, parrying her every attempt at forcing me to apologize
for a whole 2 months.

Until, that is, she threatened to complain to the Discipline Master.
Pride and a sense of self-righteousness can only take you so far,
crossing swords with the discipline committee is simply suicide.
You can't argue your way out no matter how well presented your argument is,
or how much the evidence favours you.

If a teacher reports you, you're wrong.
Detention.
Just like that.
That's only if you're lucky, if you're not you'll have to endure
an hour or so in the freezing Discipline Office standing as straight as possible,
not moving, while getting screamed at by one of the discipline masters.

Maintaining your dignity is one thing,
being stupid is an entirely different matter.
So, very naturally, I swallowed my pride and apologized.

Now, barely a year after that incident, I get told that I'm her favourite student?
Sweet ass.

Yes, yes, Mrs Yeo.
I don't know if Mr Cheng has told you about my blog,
but hey, English is also one of my favourite subjects.

And, you must also realise that even though you were some
bigfuck student from RV with 7A1's, you still can't outtalk some
crappy 'Papaya' from HKSS who only got C5 for English in the recent
Mid-years.
(No, I don't blame you for that,I blame Mr Cheng. Out of point? Moi?)
You must realise that I'm only letting you win in our arguments
simply because you're a lady. That and embarrassing the EL teacher
in front of the whole class wouldn't be very nice eh?
My ego can take a bruising just fine, it doesn't really matter.

Biology Lessons,
the teacher's finally stopped picking at me and the screaming's finally stopped.
Fantastic, now I can concentrate better on lessons, without worrying about
what I might do next that might set you off, Miss Wong.
It's good that you've seen the light and have stopped picking on me.

Physics,
I've finally passed my test.
Without studying. Oh, how long has it been since I've last seriously studied?
I reckon, it's time I took it seriously eh?
Now even more so, since I've passed my physics tests, without studying.

Did I mention I've also managed to complete my Math practice papers
within an hour, leaving school at 4.40PM instead of the blasted 18th hour?

The week's been fantastic,
a little sweet talking has gone a long way.
I've got two teachers who have every reason to claim to hate me,
change their attitudes towards me.

I think I'll try being nice full time,
it's really paying off I don't see why I should stop.

And hey, with all the publicity coming in from the recent blogcon,
with all the bloggers linking me, I've even got a spike in traffic.
My average visit's per day rising to an all time high of 60.
Heh.. Not alot, but compared to the previous measly 40-going on 50,
that's still significant enough.
